MY GEORGE FAMILY
My connection to the George family comes from my paternal grandmother ELIZABETH GEORGE
She was born c1897 and I have yet to find the right birth certificate for her.
I have her marriage certificate from 1921 to GILBERT FUSSELL at which time she was living in Ogmore Vale, Glamorgan, Wales.
The witnesses to the wedding were LURINA ISAAC and WILLIAM GEORGE.
Her father is given as DAVID GEORGE
I also have her death certificate from 1829 at the same address.
She is buried along with 3 others in Pwll-y-pant Cemetery, Ogmore Vale.
The grave number is Q54 and here are the details from it.

Elizabeth Jane Fussell, 9/8/1929 aged 32 years.
M George, 14/8/1903 aged 14 months.
Stanley George, 6/2/1919 aged 3 months.
David John George, 1/5/1941 aged 79 years.

I believe this David to be her father, he died at the same address
in Ogmore Vale.  His death certificate was witnessed by a G.C George, his son.  So here is a sibling for Elizabeth.

I now have the information from the 1901 census for Elizabeth and her family.  The entry as follows.

OGMORE VALLEY.
56 HIGH STREET
GEORGE DAVID HD 36 Glamorgan Dowlais.
GEORGE ANNIE J WI 34 Gamorgan, Aberdare.
GEORGE LIZZIE J DA 4 Glamorgan Aberdare.
GEORGE BLODWIN DA 2 OGMORE VALLEY.
GEORGE WILLIAM HENRY SO 1 MTH OGMORE VALLEY.
WILLIAMS SARAH VIS 20 S Dom Serv Glamorgan, Aberdare.

Elizabeth is put down as Lizzie on the census.

WILLIAMS is the maiden name of Annie GEORGE.  The child Stanley GEORGE buried 6/2/1919 is the child of Annie and David GEORGE.

Below you will find a link to the GEORGE FAMILIES in the 1841
Glamorgan census.

Another link will take you to a page with the only photos I have of Elizabeth, as a young woman with her 2 children, Douglas my father and Thomas.
